This calculator will provide a preliminary estimate of federal, state and institutional aid eligibility to help families gauge what aid the student may be awarded and to make arrangements to cover the cost of attendance.

The U.S. Department of Education (ED) provides grants, loans, and work-study opportunities to eligible students attending participating colleges or career schools. The ED is the source of nearly 70 percent of all student aid awarded in the U.S. each year. The vast majority of federal student aid is not based on academic merit. Visit for more information.
