English Professor named 2023 College English Teacher of the Year

Dr. Ray Horton, assistant professor in the Department of English and Philosophy at ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½, has been named the 2023 College English Teacher of the Year by the Kentucky Council of Teachers of English/Language Arts (KCTE/LA), a state affiliate of the National Council of Teachers of English.

Dr. Brian Clardy

History Professor elected Chair of the Kentucky Humanities Council Board of Director

Dr. Brian Clardy, associate professor of History at ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½, has been unanimously elected the next Chair of the Kentucky Humanities Council (KHC) Board of Directors. Clardy was first appointed to the KHC and the Kentucky Oral History Commission by Governor Andy Beshear in 2020. He currently serves as the Vice Chair of the KHC Board to Judge Charles W. Boteler of Louisville, and chair of the Kentucky Oral History Commission.

Political Science Professor Publishes The Roots of Engagement with Oxford University Press

Dr. Marc Polizzi, associate professor of Political Science at ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½, along with two co-authors, Dr. Moisés Arce, the Scott and Marjorie Cowen chair in Latin American Social Sciences and professor in the Department of Political Science at Tulane University, and Dr. Michael S. Hendricks, assistant professor in the Department of Politics and Government at Illinois State University, published The Roots of Engagement: Understanding Opposition and Support for Resource Extraction with Oxford University Press.
