Professional License Disclosure

In compliance with U.S. Department of Education regulations ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ is required to maintain specific information regarding any program designed to meet the educational requirements for a specific professional licensure or certification required for employment. We are also required to disclose this information to prospective and current students about whether program completion would meet state licensing and/or certification board requirements in any given U.S. state or territory.

Please be aware that the requirements for working in a medical setting may be different than the requirements for working in a public school. State requirements can vary widely and can change at any time. If you plan to pursue employment in speech-language pathology, it is important to understand state licensing and/or certification board requirements. Because professional licensure and certification requirements are subject to change, students are strongly encouraged to visit licensing/certification websites directly in case of any changes and to also contact state licensing boards directly to verify education and/or licensing requirements in their state.

We have taken this information directly from the ASHA (American Speech-Language Hearing Association) website (our governing body), which is updated yearly. For additional information please contact the academic unit or your advisor.

The table below provides

  1. A direct link to the ASHA website with licensing and certification information for state chosen.

  3. A list of all States for which we have determined that our Master of Science (MS) in Speech-Language Pathology program does not meet the State educational requirements for licensure or certification; and
