Assessment Center
Assessment Services Process
The Assessment Center is supervised and run by school psychology faculty and students. Our comprehensive evaluations are individually structured to assess the individual’s strengths and functional limitations and to generate recommendations and interventions to address those limitations. We are happy to work with clients between the ages of 5 through 17 years old. We do not see clients 18+ years old (except for vocational rehabilitation/GED).
We specialize in:
- Mood Disorders
- Attention-Deficit Disorder/Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
- Learning Problems
- Gifted
- Autism spectrum disorder
- Childhood Behavior Problems
What does the process look like?
Our consultation consists of an intake and clinical interview, behavior and personality testing, and individually administered tests that assess reasoning, memory, and academic skill.
Allow a minimum of four hours for the interview, assessments, and other procedures. After the tests and procedures are completed, we will provide you with a report and invite you back to review the findings.
Who conducts the evaluations?
All evaluations are conducted by appropriately trained and experienced graduate student school psychologists-in-training under the direct supervision of Dr. Mardis Dunham, Licensed Psychologist, Certified School Psychologist, and Assessment Clinic Coordinator, and Dr. Sean Simons, Assistant Professor of School Psychology.
