During the annual tax filing season each spring, ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ accounting majors gain hands-on experience processing income tax returns.

Community Outreach

The VITA program gives accounting majors the opportunity to obtain real-life experience in the income tax area by helping community members prepare federal and state income tax returns.

Free income tax preparation is available to

• ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ students;

• ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ employees;

• senior citizens; and

• moderate income taxpayers in the region.

The VITA program is co-sponsored by ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½'s Department of Accounting and Beta Alpha Psi professional accounting fraternity.
