The ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ Galleries and the Department of Art & Design are pleased to announce MONOCHROME, an exhibit sponsored by the Organization of Murray Art Students (OMAS)

MURRAY, Ky. — The ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ Galleries and the Department of Art & Design are pleased to announce MONOCHROME, an exhibit sponsored by the Organization of Murray Art Students (OMAS). The exhibition is open through Mar. 29 in the Clara M. Eagle Main Gallery on the sixth floor of the Doyle Fine Arts Building located on ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½â€™s campus. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with evening hours extended on Tuesday until 7:30 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public.  

OMAS organizes and curates an annual juried show for students at ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ who are actively engaged in the process of making visual art.  

This year’s juror for the exhibition is visual artist and ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ alumnus Jerry Bedor Phillips, a visual artist living and creating in Nashville, Tennessee. He is the building manager, studio assistant and gallery coordinator for the Vanderbilt University Department of Art and for Space 204, the contemporary gallery space located in the E. Bronson Ingram Studio Arts Center on Vanderbilt’s campus. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Printmaking and Drawing from ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ in 2007 and his master of fine arts in printmaking and drawing from Bradley University in 2010.  Work by Phillips has appeared in exhibitions across the United States and internationally.
