MURRAY, Ky. â€” The Hutson School of Agriculture at ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ recently honored high school students from the Purchase, Pennyrile, and Green River regions as ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ FFA All-Region Stars based on the students’ demonstrated leadership in FFA. 

The STARS recognition banquet was held on ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½â€™s campus on Nov. 18 in honor of the recipients. The featured speaker was Ms. Sharon Furches, who is an agvocate, community and state leader, and a local farmer. Additionally, greetings were given Dr. Tim Todd, ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ provost/vice president for academic affairs, Dr. Don Robertson, ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ vice president for student affairs and enrollment management, and Dr. Brian Parr, ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ dean of the Hutson School of Agriculture. The honored FFA students attend a number of high schools in the 18-county ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ service region including Ballard Memorial, Calloway County, Carlisle County, Fulton County, Graves County, Hickman County, Marshall County, McCracken County, Murray, New Covenant Christian and Trigg County in the Purchase region; Caldwell County, Christian County, Hopkins County Central, Hopkinsville, Madisonville North Hopkins, Muhlenberg County and Todd County Central in the Pennyrile region; and Henderson County and Webster County in the Green River region.
