ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ students can access 24/7 virtual mental health care through TimelyCare. If you are feeling overwhelmed, stressed, anxious, or just need someone to talk to, TimelyCare can connect you with licensed mental health providers and counselors all over the U.S. (available in all 50 states). We want you to have the support you need to succeed. and get started.

TimelyCare services are free and don't require insurance. Available services include:

  • On-demand mental health and emotional support (TalkNow)

  • Scheduled mental health counseling

  • Psychiatric support

  • Health coaching

  • Basic needs assistance

  • Care navigation

  • Peer community

  • Digital self-care content

Student records are shared with the Counseling Center and/or the Psychological Center, for continuity of care and to ensure that the campus is aware of students who may be struggling and need additional support.

Limited prescription services are available through TimelyCare Psychiatry.

Students outside of the United States can access TalkNow and the self-help resources. They cannot access scheduled counseling sessions or psychiatry.

You and your counselor will determine the frequency of your meetings.

University Counseling Center -

Varies. Your assigned counselor may be a licensed counselor or an intern or practicum student. All counselors in training are closely supervised by licensed mental health providers.

Psychological Center -

Practicum students who are closely supervised by licensed by psychologists.

TimelyCare -

Scheduled counseling sessions are provided by licensed mental health providers.

University Counseling Center -

Limit is based on needs and progress toward treatment goals. Maximum of 24 sessions while enrolled at ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½.

Psychological Center -

Limit is based on needs and progress toward treatment goals.

TimelyCare -

Maximum of 12 scheduled counseling sessions per academic year.

Unlimited access to TalkNow, health coaching, and self-help resources.

  1. Email msu.counselingcenter@murraystate.edu
  2. You will receive an email with a link to forms you will complete and submit. 
  3. After the forms are submitted, your assigned counselor will email you to schedule your first appointment

Psychological Center -

  1. Go to the Psychological Center in 401 Wells Hall and request the forms.
  2. You will complete the forms in their office.
  3. After the forms are submitted, your assigned clinician will call you to schedule your first appointment.

TimelyCare -

  1. Go to the TimelyCare app and set up your profile.
  2. Select a counselor who fits your needs and your schedule.
  3. Schedule your first appointment on the app.
